Xerox WorkCentre 6400 Review

If you are looking for a color copier that won’t cost you an arm and a leg in Houston, the Xerox WorkCentre 6400 may be the perfect option for you!  The WorkCentre 6400 is fast at 42 pages a minute and not brutally expensive in that you can get this copier for under $4,000.  There are a few things you should be aware of before you get your credit card out to purchase this color copier!

The first issue we ran into was working with Server 2008.  We wanted to get the scanning working with this Server and the copier has drivers for the printing part, but not the scanning.  Thinking this was odd, we called in to the engineers and they confirmed this and said that the scanning software had to be loaded on a different computer (like XP or Win 7, the 64 bit driver didn’t work)  This is definitely the biggest problem we have found with this particular color copier.

On the plus side, it does work well over networks when Server 2008 is not where the main drivers are hosted.  We have found the color touch screen to be a nice little addition to this copier over its predecessors.
